Our congregations are full of people in pain.

The challenge is to connect the two so that the appropriate care is applied in situations where people are in great emotional pain and struggle.  A person with specialized listening skills, honed over thousands of hours of active interaction with hurting people can help churches make connections that lead to healing and growth.
