From the very first date a couple begins to come together to create something that is greater than the sum of two people. When they anchor their relationship in the Lord and devote themselves to serving the needs of each other while raising a family they launch into one of the greatest adventures in life.
The Marriage and Family Therapist is dedicated to helping couples diagnose their unique challenges. Working with them to establish a treatment plan next step is to implement new skills and to build on their individual strengths. Learning how to verbalize expectations in a respectful and helpful way, talking out differences in order to achieve win/win solutions can move couples to new, mutually satisfying levels of caring for each other.
Areas frequently addressed by Marriage and Family Therapists include:
- Pre-Marital Assessments
- Infidelity
- Bereavement, Grief and Loss
- Multi-Generational Issues Such As In-Laws and Extended Family Members
- Sexual Dysfunctions
- Separation, Divorce and Mediation
