Marriage Therapy

From the very first date a couple begins to come together to create something that is greater than the sum of two people.  When they anchor their relationship in the Lord and devote themselves to serving the needs of each other while raising a family they launch into one of the greatest adventures in life.

The Marriage and Family Therapist is dedicated to helping couples diagnose their unique challenges.  Working with them to establish a treatment plan next step is to implement new skills and to build on their individual strengths.  Learning how to verbalize expectations in a respectful and helpful way, talking out differences in order to achieve win/win solutions can move couples to new, mutually satisfying levels of caring for each other.

Areas frequently addressed by Marriage and Family Therapists include:

  • Pre-Marital Assessments
  • Infidelity
  • Bereavement, Grief and Loss
  • Multi-Generational Issues Such As In-Laws and Extended Family Members
  • Sexual Dysfunctions
  • Separation, Divorce and Mediation

  1. My wife has ptsd, bipolar2, and identity disorder from a longtime child molested, and sexual assult at a club in her earlier yrs. And when we got together it was agreed I wouldn’t have any adult movies, ect.
Together 14yrs, and I been caught a few times searching net porn and 8 months ago she saw I was on sexhook up sites. And we’ve tried ourselves to overcome it with no positive results
My question is are you experienced with multiple issues like this? We need help.

    1. Hi Jason,

Sorry to be so long to get back to you.

I now do all my counseling at Compassionate Christian Counseling in their Spring Lake and Jennison offices. You can set up an appointment and check your insurance by calling (616) 296-2130 and one of the secretaries would be happy to help you.
